The term "extended animation" comes from the well-known scholar Siegfried Zielinski. As early as in the Book Media Archaeology (2006, Commercial Press), Mr. Zielinski put forward the concept of technology and history to discover the global picture of culture, technology and geographical interaction while looking at human history.

"Extended animation" is the extension of this concept, the extension of the concept of animation, the extension of geo culture and global concept. Through more than one year of teaching practice, this concept will eventually present two different groups of practice and exploration: staatliche Hochschule f ü r Gestaltung Karlsruhe and Sichuan Academy of fine arts.

The historic works of Nam June Paik (1932-2006) brought by South Korea's "Bai nanzhun Art Center" will also reflect each other in time and media with these new practices.

Shenzhen independent animation Biennale has experienced three sessions, each with a huge breakthrough, from college education and exhibition, to thinking about animation and film, and more internationalized integration into new media, to thinking about the spatial relationship between exhibition mechanism and human life“ "Extended animation" is another breakthrough, which points to the ambition of entrusted creation. With the intervention of famous curators, it has reached the needs of a Biennale: supporting cultural production, transcending geography, and completing the renewal of animation, image, new media and other fields. Especially after the rise of the Internet and social media, the cultural situation will achieve the unity of art, technology and people's livelihood through game art and objects of daily life.

The implementation of this concept is accomplished through Suh jinsuk from South Korea, Tang Yong from Sichuan Academy of fine arts, Holly roussell from the United States, Daniel Franke from Germany, Yang Jing from Hong Kong, China, Cao Kai and Xue Feng from Nanjing, forming an interactive context, In terms of time, there are no restrictions on the media since the 1960s.

Exhibition venues: C2 exhibition hall of OCT creative culture park, Yachang Art Center, B. Park blooming garden, complementary time · superfluous Art Museum, water performance. Together with beehive (Shenzhen) Contemporary Art Center and Hua · Art Museum, it is a cross space and cross time local partner of the Biennale.

Xu Zhenxi founded alternative space loop in Seoul, Korea in 1999. In 2004, it launched the global roving exhibition "move on Asia", in 2006, it launched the "Asian arts space network", and in 2012, it organized the "Asian arts space network". Bai nanzhun Art Center was opened to the public in 2008 to conduct creative and critical research on Bai nanzhun's thought and practice. In 2015, he has served as the curator of the South Korean Bai nanzhun Art Center.

TANG YONG（CHINA）

Tang Yong, director and associate professor of cross media studio of Sculpture Department of Sichuan Academy of fine arts. Member of China Artists Association, member of China Sculpture Society, member of Chongqing Artists Association, director of Chongqing Sculpture Society, member of Sculpture Committee of Chongqing Academy of traditional Chinese painting, and expert of Chongqing social science expert database.

Daniel Franke（Germany）

Daniel Frank is a teaching assistant in the Department of media arts at Karlsruhe University of Arts and design, a doctoral candidate at the Bauhaus University ä t Weimar, Germany, and one of the founders of the lab for Electronic Arts and performance. Karlsruhe National Design Institute is a famous institution in Germany. It was founded by Professor Heinrich Klotz in 1992. He also founded ZKM art media center.

YANG JING（HONGKONG CHINA）

Yang Jing, curator and independent writer. Yang Jing is a doctoral candidate of the cross-cultural research center of Heidelberg University, editor in chief of game on, the end media game channel, and the author of the apple daily column "a Li Xiong Zhi Yi".

Holly Roussell（Switzerland / USA）

Rong Siyu focuses on Asian photography and contemporary art. From 2013 to 2017, he was responsible for the global itinerant exhibition plan of the Elysee Museum in Lausanne, coordinated with the Elysee Photography Award, and contributed to a number of photography exhibitions and publications, including landmarks: the field of landscape photography (2014) and the Thames and Hudson Dictionary of photography (2015). Jointly planned the 2018 photography Tour "Civilization: our current lifestyle", which was jointly presented by the American Photography Exhibition Foundation (FEP) and the Korean Museum of modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA).

Cao Kai set up "peexie studio" in Nanjing in 2000. His work includes the creation, criticism, historical research, curation, education, etc. of experimental film and video art, and involves a wider range of documentary, new media art, digital art and other aspects.

XUE FENG（CHINA）

Xue Feng, initiator of China Animation academic alliance, executive curator of China Contemporary Animation Art Museum, professor and master supervisor of Nanjing Institute of art. Xue Feng has been widely involved in the fields of media, design, animation and related cultural and creative industries, and has long been committed to the theory and practice of animation art to adapt to the law of modern communication and the relevant research on the integration mode of learning and industry in Colleges and universities.
